TREATMENT OF OEDEMA, CONGESTION IN HORSES AND CATTLE
COMPOSITION:
Hydrochlorothiazide
Dexamethasone sodium phosphate
INDICATION
Cattle: congestion and oedemaof the udder, persistant lactation in oedema, pulmonary oedema and congestion, oedematous infiltration of surgical wounds, oedema in allgeric conditions.
Horses: generalised congestion and oedema. Oedema of sheath, Anasara, Oedema in allergic reactions.
DOSAGE: Administered by intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous injection.
Cattle and adult horses:
- Preventative treatment: 10 ml daily for 3 days
Curative treatment:
- Congestion and mild oedema: 10 ml daily for 2 - 3 days.
- Congestion and severe oedema: 20 ml daily for 2 days and 10 ml the third day.
Foals and calves: 2 ml for 40 - 50 kg of B.W daily for 3 days
Withdrawal time:
Cattle:
- Meat and offal: 28 days
- Milk: 7 days
Treated horses may never be slaughtered for human consumption
PRESERVATION: Store in a cool place and keep out of direct sunlight.
